Do you want an exciting and challenging assignment where you can make a real difference? The Functional Support Administration is now looking for a Readiness Coordinator. If you have experience in strategic work regarding readiness and are skilled at networking and communicating, this is the job for you.

Responsibilities

As a Readiness Coordinator, the core of your role is to promote close collaboration. You achieve this through effective communication and frequent dialogue with the operations to act proactively and make well-informed decisions even under pressure. In collaboration with your colleagues in information security, crisis communication, and security, your task is to analyze, manage, and actively participate in various aspects of security, readiness, and safety within the administration and with colleagues in the city. The position requires a combination of both strategic thinking and operational action.

You serve as a consultative support for the entire administration and handle a broad spectrum of issues, from minor incidents to larger planned events, from a readiness perspective. You create a foundation for managers to navigate readiness issues, and part of your role involves meetings and collaboration with managers and staff directly on-site in the operations.

Examples of tasks:

  • Process and analyze information, produce investigations, and present materials and proposals to the administration management.
  • Analyze situations related to the administration's requirements and needs during various events, including disruptions affecting Malmö.
  • Support the administration's operations in business continuity planning.
  • Conduct regular risk and vulnerability analyses (RSA) together with the administration's operations.
  • Maintain continuous environmental scanning to quickly inform management of critical events.
  • Documentation of cases, routines, and guidelines is an integrated part of the daily work.

The focus is on developing systematic work together with the administration's other operations, promoting a safety culture, and a way of working where readiness perspectives are incorporated into the daily work in the operations.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Education in crisis readiness, civil defense, or equivalent experience.
  • Work experience in safety and security work.
  • Good knowledge of both spoken and written Swedish.

We consider the following to be meritorious:

  • Experience with the Act (2006:544) on measures by municipalities and regions in the event of extraordinary events in peacetime and heightened readiness.
  • Experience in developing readiness plans and involvement in creating guidelines and recommendations based on overarching guidelines.
  • Experience in leading and organizing training.
  • Experience in crisis readiness and leadership.
  • Experience in processing and analyzing information and creating decision-making materials.

To succeed in the role, you need to be skilled at identifying complex connections and understanding how decisions affect the overall operation as well as specific units, results, and processes. You need to be able to build open and trust-based working relationships and create an environment where information sharing is encouraged. Communication is an important part of readiness work, and you need to be able to convey messages clearly and adapted to the recipient.

We will place great emphasis on your personal competencies.
