Operational Buyer – Do you want to work close to the business and create value through commerce?

Are you a commercial buyer who thrives in an operational role where you take responsibility, build relationships, and drive purchases from need to delivery? Do you have experience with supplier negotiations and want to work in a business where purchasing is a strategically important function? Then this might be the assignment for you.

We are now looking for an Operational Buyer for an exciting consultancy assignment with an established client. Here you will have a central role where you work closely with the business operations to ensure efficient, commercial, and high-quality purchasing.

About the role
As an Operational Buyer, you are the natural contact person for purchasing matters within the business and are responsible for ensuring that purchases are carried out in a commercial and structured manner. You work closely with internal requesters, suppliers, and other purchasing functions to create efficient purchasing processes and ensure high delivery quality.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Drive and execute operational purchasing.
• Support the business in daily purchasing activities.
• Negotiate with suppliers and secure the best commercial terms.
• Follow up on orders, order acknowledgments, and deliveries.
• Handle complaints, warranty cases, and supplier issues.
• Support the review of supplier invoices and ensure purchases comply with agreements and internal guidelines.
• Participate in supplier follow-up and improvement of purchasing processes.
• Contribute to the development of the Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) process.
• Assist in the implementation of new agreements and the development of working methods and business systems.

We are looking for someone who has

• Relevant education in purchasing, logistics, or equivalent work experience.
• Several years of experience in operational purchasing.
• Experience in supplier negotiations and commercial dialogues.
• Good understanding of purchasing processes and commercial purchasing work.
• Experience with purchasing and business systems.
• Strong administrative skills and habit of working in a structured manner.
• Very good communication skills in Swedish and English, both verbal and written.
