About the position

Personal assistance is a support measure under the LSS Act (Act concerning Support and Service for Certain Functionally Disabled People). As a personal assistant, your main task will be to help the customer with whatever arises in daily life as well as with basic needs. Your work involves safeguarding the customer's self-determination and integrity, and contributing to a smooth daily routine. Each assistance assignment is uniquely adapted to the customer's life, so tasks may vary depending on the workplace.

The customer's individual needs dictate the workday. Tasks may include help with mobility, personal care, training, communication, as well as household chores and activities both inside and outside the home.

Who are you?

The role of a personal assistant places high demands on the ability to build good relationships. We are therefore looking for someone who is sensitive, engaged, and responsible. It is also important that you can take initiative and see what needs to be done. To thrive as a personal assistant, it is crucial that there is good chemistry between you and the customer.

We are currently looking for you who meets the following criteria:

• Want to work for a young man in Vansbro who uses a wheelchair and has one-sided muscle weakness.
• Hold a B driving license and have access to a car (required for commuting to the workplace).
• Have good knowledge of Swedish.

The following qualifications are meritorious:

• Experience in similar work.
• Experience working with individuals with epilepsy or tube feeding.
• Experience using mobility aids, e.g., floor lifts.
• Share the customer's interests, which include film, sports, and music.

Personal suitability will be given great weight.

Working hours, degree of employment, and salary

The current form of employment is "for as long as the assistance assignment lasts" with an employment degree of 70–90%. Working hours vary and are scheduled during the day, evening, and night, with active hours around the clock. All shift types are available to work according to the schedule.

Fixed hourly wage by agreement, and other benefits are paid according to the collective agreement.

The start date for the position is August 1st, but we would prefer if you could start the introduction before then.
