The Social Services Administration in Stockholm Municipality has an overarching and coordinating role for the social services' individual and family care and the disability area. Here, good conditions are created to meet residents in need of social services support. In close collaboration with the district administrations, we contribute to a modern, digital, legally secure, equal, and knowledge-based social service with a strong development focus. Within the administration, a wide range of support measures are offered to the city's residents, and the offering changes based on the needs of Stockholmers and the requests of the district administrations. The work is often carried out in close cooperation with other authorities, civil society, and business life. The Social Services Administration is also responsible for the city's catering and tobacco permits and performs supervision.

Welcome to us

Within the Social Services Administration, there is the activity Competence Area Disability and Social Psychiatry, which consists of four units. We are now looking for employees for the unit Central Placement. On behalf of the district administrations, we work to ensure equal placements and agreements according to the Social Services Act (SoL), the Act with Special Provisions on Care of Young Persons (LVU), and the Act on Support and Service for Certain Persons with Disabilities (LSS). Today, there are eight employees in the group, distributed as case officers, administrator, coordinator, and unit manager.

The unit is both new and a city-wide function. Your role

In the role, you support placement case officers with the processing of incoming placement requests from the district administrations, which includes both place requests and price negotiations with external providers. You are responsible for the agreements, their documentation, and requirements, and you follow up on the agreements through visits to the facilities. This may include travel both in the local area and to other parts of Sweden to ensure the quality of placements through personal contact.

The role involves close collaboration with the Social Services Administration's units, our district administrations, and external providers. Through continuous dialogue with both providers and district administrations, you work to ensure quality and good results. You will also, together with your team, establish structures and ways of working for agreements and activity follow-ups.

Your competence and experience

We are looking for you who have:

  • a degree in social work or other relevant higher education
  • experience of contract follow-up according to the Public Procurement Act (LOU) of external providers for housing
  • basic knowledge of relevant legislation such as LOU
  • experience of negotiations
  • experience as a purchaser of housing measures
  • experience of difficult placements within individual and family care.

The following is meritorious:

  • experience from provider activities within HVB (Home for Care or Board) or special housing within LSS, preferably in a managerial position
  • experience as a purchaser of housing measures within Stockholm Municipality's organization
  • knowledge of Stockholm Municipality's level assessments and compensation systems.
