Police Region South is organized into five police districts: Blekinge, Northern Scania, Kalmar Kronoberg, Malmö, Northern Western Scania, and Southern Scania, which together are divided into 20 local police districts. Furthermore, there are six regional units: the operational unit, the intelligence unit, the investigation unit, and the border police unit, HR South close to operations, Communication South, a regional office, as well as national departments represented in the region to support police operations.

Local Police District (LPO) Helsingborg is part of the Northern Western Scania police district. Within the local police district, there are intervention and crime prevention operations, investigation groups, dog units, order units, traffic units, as well as support and services.

The Investigation Section in the Northern Western Scania police district (PONV) is organized into serious crimes and crimes in close relationships, as well as surveillance operations and operational support. The Investigation Section is responsible for investigative work in these operations, as well as qualified surveillance work and certain handling of secret coercive measures.

To the Northern Western Scania police district, we are now looking for a Multimedia Handler placed at the Investigation Section, Crimes in Close Relationships (BINR), and LPO Helsingborg, who wants to contribute to a safer society.

RESPONSIBILITIES

At Local Police District Helsingborg, crimes that according to the crime catalog should be handled at the police district level are processed, such as serious violent crimes, organized crime, young suspects, and so on. At the Investigation Section, Crimes in Close Relationships, criminal investigations involving adults and/or children in close relationships are handled. Common crimes are violent and sexual crimes in close relationships against children and adults. Handling of detainees is common, which periodically requires short processing times and work under time pressure.

The tasks consist largely of reviewing mobile extractions and data extractions, as well as functioning as corridor support.

Common tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Providing technical support in the handling of images and video footage in police preliminary investigations.
  • Delivering other support regarding image and film handling in the investigative work.
  • Reviewing mobile extractions and data extractions.

QUALIFICATIONS

This is an opportunity for you who have:

  • A police degree, in accordance with the Police Ordinance (2014:1104), or an academic education in criminology, political science, or other education that the employer deems suitable.
  • Experience with investigations.
  • Experience handling large amounts of data, analyzing them, and drawing conclusions.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing.
  • Category B driver's license.

It is meritorious if you also have:

  • Experience working in public sector operations.
  • Case management experience.
  • Experience with image, video, and audio handling as well as IT management.
  • Additional language skills besides Swedish and English.

Personal Qualities

We are looking for you who have the ability to take initiative but can also work according to given directives. The role of Multimedia Handler requires you to be meticulous, structured, creative, resilient, and flexible. To stay updated on developments within multimedia, you need to be holistic, curious, and engaged. Furthermore, you keep yourself updated on relevant legislation. It is also of great importance that you have a strong desire to drive and develop our operations forward.
