We are now looking for an operational buyer who wants to take a key role in ensuring material supply and supporting the logistics flow. About the role

As an operational buyer, you will play a key role in ensuring that production has the right materials, components, and services in place at the right time. You are responsible for the daily operational purchasing work and work in close collaboration with production, planning, and logistics. The role also involves a large network where you have ongoing dialogue with both suppliers and customers to ensure a qualitative, efficient, and well-functioning material flow throughout the entire supply chain.

The role is broad, with the work consisting largely of operational purchasing as well as logistics-related tasks. In addition to purchasing, you are responsible for following up on deliveries, handling supplier contacts, monitoring inventory levels, and supporting the logistics department with transport coordination, delivery monitoring, as well as customs and import issues. You will become an important part of the company's supply chain and actively contribute to developing and optimizing both purchasing and logistics processes.

The position is located in Kristinehamn, and travel to our customers and suppliers in Europe may occur.

Tasks

  • Place and follow up on purchase orders for raw materials, components, and consumables.
  • Ensure that deliveries take place according to the production plan's needs.
  • Follow up on order confirmations and delivery advices, as well as handle delivery deviations.
  • Prepare and send requests for quotations to suppliers.
  • Have daily contact with suppliers regarding orders, deliveries, and materials.
  • Collaborate with the logistics department regarding inbound and outbound deliveries, transport bookings, as well as customs and import issues.
  • Monitor inventory levels and initiate orders in collaboration with planning and logistics.
  • Contribute to efficient material flows from supplier to production.
  • Participate in handling complaints and quality deviations.
  • Be involved in improvement work within purchasing and logistics processes.
  • Ensure correct registration and follow-up in the company's business system.

About you

As a person, you are social and enjoy collaborating with people both internally and externally. You are confident in yourself, your competence, and handle situations with self-assurance, often taking your own initiatives. The role requires that you can work independently, make decisions, and drive your work forward while being a team player who contributes to a positive collaborative climate. We also believe that you are structured, solution-oriented, and have the ability to maintain focus even when the pace is high and several issues need to be handled in parallel.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in purchasing, logistics, economics, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in operational purchasing within manufacturing industry.
  • Good administrative skills and experience working in business systems (ERP).
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
  • Good computer skills and good knowledge of the Office package.

Merits

  • Experience in logistics- or transport-related tasks.
  • Experience with supplier contacts in an international environment.

  • Experience in improvement work within purchasing or logistics.

Albin Components AB, located in Kristinehamn and owned by Storskogen, has a turnover of approx. 220 MSEK and has 104 employees. Our production facility is highly automated and focused on medium and large production series. We are certified according to the management systems ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and ISO 14001.

Albin Components AB is a sub-supplier company with cutting machining and assembly as focus, and gear cutting as a specialty. The customers are mainly found in the automotive industry, where the truck side dominates.
