Your new workplace
Drakfastigheter is Sundsvall Municipality's property management company. We ensure that the municipality's premises offer a pleasant environment for those who visit by shaping and developing our properties in close collaboration with the municipal operations that rent them. All of this is to ensure that Sundsvall Municipality can operate in efficient, purposeful, and climate-smart premises.
Drakfastigheter is currently a business unit within the Administration for the Municipal Executive Board, with approximately 230 employees. In addition to property management, cleaning, laundry handling, and ongoing operations, we are responsible for new construction, renovations, and extensions of municipal premises. Together with the municipal administrations, we work to offer the people of Sundsvall spaces and environments where they can thrive and develop.
We are now looking for an engaged project manager who wants to contribute to the development of Sundsvall.
How you contribute in the role
In the role of project manager, you independently lead projects with a focus on quality, operational continuity, and the development of robust properties that can maintain their function even during societal disruptions and crises. During the first few years, your work will primarily be linked to the sub-projects within the overarching development program "Robust Properties".
The role combines traditional project management with a specialist area in civil preparedness, security, and resilience in the property portfolio. The work is somewhat more strategic and analytical, where you are responsible for investigating needs, preparing decision-making materials, ordering consulting services, and coordinating various actors to translate requirements and goals into concrete actions.
Your responsibilities:
- Lead and drive projects from planning to implementation and handover, ensuring compliance with laws and authority requirements.
- Prepare project directives, tender documents, calculations, schedules, and other decision-making materials.
- Conduct analyses and investigations related to resilience, security, and operational continuity in the municipality's property portfolio.
- Contribute to the development of the municipality's work within civil defense and crisis preparedness, with a focus on premises and critical infrastructure.
- Be responsible for project follow-up, documentation, and lessons learned.
- Participate in the formulation of requirements for framework agreements and conduct environmental scanning in the area.
Your qualifications and experience
- University or post-secondary education with a focus on building technology, or equivalent work experience assessed by the employer as equivalent.
- Documented professional experience in project management within construction projects related to properties.
- Very good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing, as well as good knowledge of English in speech and writing.
- Good knowledge of the Office package and experience working in property-related IT environments.
- Valid Category B driver's license.
Meritorious qualifications:
- Previous experience in development, improvement, and/or quality work, project management, continuity management, risk and vulnerability analyses, or security protection work.
- Experience in public sector operations, the Public Procurement Act (LOU), costing, and procurement/purchasing.
- Education/knowledge in contract law.
As a person, you are self-reliant, initiative-taking, and have a strong drive to move work forward. You have a solution-oriented attitude and enjoy handling complex issues in a structured way. You work purposefully and take responsibility for achieving results, while also having good collaboration skills and building trusting relationships with colleagues and partners.
Furthermore, you are quality-conscious and have good judgment in your assessments and prioritizations. You have the ability to see the big picture, analyze complex contexts, and translate needs and requirements into sustainable and long-term solutions. The role requires you to be flexible and able to adapt to changing conditions.
