We are looking for someone who wants to take a central role in developing and strengthening our business within the department. This is a role for you who want to combine strategy with relationship building and operational work close to the business in early stages where our projects are just beginning to take shape. As a Business Developer, you work on identifying the right projects and creating conditions for good business. You are close to the market and get a good picture of which projects lie ahead. Most of your time is spent on market and customer processing, contributing to the department's portfolio and sales goals. You build long-term relationships, meet clients, and participate in early dialogues, often together with the Production or Project Manager who later becomes the representative in the business and during our production phase. In this role, you report to the Marketing and Business Manager, with whom you also collaborate closely. About Building Norrland We build and renovate both commercial and public buildings as well as residential properties across Norrland, from Sundsvall in the south to Luleå in the north. The department consists of approximately 200 dedicated employees, both white-collar and blue-collar workers, who drive projects forward together with a focus on sustainable and long-term solutions. Your profile To thrive and succeed in this role, you have good knowledge of the construction process, where you master the basics of contracting and business law and are comfortable in bidding and negotiation contexts. We are looking for you who is a relationship-building and business-driven person with a thorough understanding of the market, customers, and sales, which enables you to assess project opportunities and analyze market development. We expect you to have a relevant post-secondary education combined with several years of experience from the industry. As a person, you are structured and confident in your competence. You have a sense for business and can prioritize the right customers and projects. You are persistent and have a good ability to work long-term with relationships, profitability, and market development. You also have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written. Additional information The position is a permanent employment starting as agreed. You will be based at one of our offices in Sundsvall, Östersund, Örnsköldsvik, or Umeå. Travel is included in the role, and a B-driver's license is required. This position undergoes background checks in accordance with NCC's safety culture.
