The operational area of the Traffic and Parks Department covers streets, roads, bridges, quays, traffic, parking, parks, the municipality's forests, public transport, school transport, as well as concessions and permit issuance. The Design and Investigation Unit works as a support function to other units within the department and to other departments and units within the municipality.
Job Responsibilities
A part of the work will involve administering the department's ongoing projects. The unit acts as a consultative authority in, among other things, building permit and planning work, where you will participate as a case handler and reference person for the Traffic and Parks Department. As an Investigation Engineer, you will work with investigations within the Traffic and Parks Department's areas of operation. You will also provide support to your own organization in their matters as needed.
In your role as an Investigation Engineer, you will have contact with colleagues within and from other departments, the general public, and authorities.

Qualifications
We are looking for you who have a university or college education relevant to the position, or knowledge and experience that we assess as sufficient.
Experience in investigation work, preferably linked to building permit consultations, planning processes, or technical analyses, is meritorious.
Good knowledge of the Planning and Building Act (PBL) and understanding of detailed planning work is meritorious.
Experience in project administration, such as planning, follow-up, and documentation, is meritorious.
A driver's license, category B, is required for the position.
You are structured and quality-conscious in your approach to work.
You have good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish.

We appreciate language skills in Finnish and/or any of the Sami varieties as Örnsköldsvik Municipality is included in both the Finnish and Sami administrative areas.
In our municipality, a number of positions are placed in security class, so security clearance may be conducted. These positions may require Swedish citizenship.
