We believe that progress and opportunities are best created together. Welcome to a place where collaboration makes a difference.

Your Role

Here, you will work at the intersection of mechanics and electronics and be involved throughout the entire development process – from idea and concept to finished product. This role is ideal for you who want to broaden your technical expertise and are driven by solving complex design challenges in cross-functional projects.

As an Electro-Mechanical Designer, you work within a broad technical area where mechanics and electronics meet. You develop innovative design solutions to integrate and protect electronics based on the requirements and environmental conditions of each project. You follow the product through the entire development journey, contributing your expertise from the initial ideas to the final solution.

You work on projects that vary in size and complexity, meaning you need to be comfortable working both independently and collaboratively. The role involves many contact points, both internally and externally, and you collaborate closely with colleagues, suppliers, and customers. Therefore, we believe you are communicative, good at building relationships, and able to express yourself well in both Swedish and English, in speech and writing.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who have a positive and open attitude and thrive when collaborating with others. You have a university or civil engineering degree in mechanical engineering, electronics, or equivalent.

Perhaps you currently work as a mechanical designer with a strong interest in electronics, or as an electronic designer with an interest in mechanics and product development. Regardless of your background, you are curious to develop within both areas.

We see that you have:

  • Experience in design work within mechanics or electronics
  • Good knowledge of CAD
  • Experience with 3D modeling is an advantage
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team

The position requires you to undergo and pass the security clearance checks according to current regulations. For positions where Saab requires security classification, this may, in some cases, entail citizenship requirements.

Please note that we conduct ongoing selection and the position may be filled before the application deadline has passed. Also note that the advertisement is posted during the summer and holiday period, which may result in longer response times than usual.

What You Will Be Part Of

Discover endless possibilities. Take on challenges, create smart innovations, and upgrade your skills. This is a place for clever thinkers, brave pioneers, and everyone in between. Together we achieve the extraordinary, with each person bringing their unique perspective. Every contribution counts.

Saab is a leading defense and security company with the purpose of helping nations protect their populations and contribute to the safety of people and societies. With 28,000 talented employees, Saab develops technology and solutions for a safer and more sustainable world.

Saab develops, manufactures, and maintains advanced systems within aerospace, weapons, command and control systems, sensors, and underwater systems. Saab has its headquarters in Sweden but operates globally, where Saab is part of many nations' defense capabilities.
