Description
We are looking for an Electrical Engineer for Karlstadsregionens Vatten. Here you will have the opportunity to work on the development of our water treatment plants, wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, and reservoirs in Karlstad, Hammarö, Kil, and Forshaga.
Do you want to be part of this exciting journey from the start? Karlstadsregionens Vatten is a newly formed water and wastewater utility company that, from January 2027, will be responsible for water and wastewater operations in our four owner municipalities. As an Electrical Engineer, you will work as a sub-project manager within electrical, control, and automation technology, contributing to the high-quality execution of our projects with a focus on robust and reliable solutions.
Responsibilities
At the Project Department, you are responsible for electrical and control issues in investment projects. You contribute specialist competence in the electrical field and act as the link between project managers, consultants, contractors, and operations staff regarding electrical and control matters. In projects involving only electrical work, you may also take on the role of project manager and drive assignments independently.
Your responsibilities include, among other things:
- Preparing technical documentation and setting requirements prior to construction
- Ordering and reviewing supporting documents
- Ensuring that projects meet requirements and are handed over to operations
- Contributing to the development of working methods, routines, and technical requirements
Qualifications
We are looking for you who are educated as an engineer in electrical power, electrical engineering, or energy technology, or alternatively have a technical high school education combined with several years of experience in the electrical industry. You have experience working independently on assignments in this area, preferably from process facilities within water and wastewater or industry. Experience from leadership roles, such as assignment manager or sub-project manager, is advantageous. Knowledge within control and automation technology is also considered advantageous.
As a person, you are engaged, proactive, and take responsibility for driving the work forward with a focus on quality and results. With a trustworthy and collaborative approach, you build good relationships and actively contribute to efficient cooperation, both internally and externally.
The role requires a solution-oriented approach and a good understanding of technically complex facilities. We value the ability to drive work forward through clear planning and systematic follow-up. Through an analytical working method and a strong focus on quality, you develop robust and reliable solutions. Good ability to express yourself well in speech and writing is important, as is ensuring high quality and structure in technical documentation.
The position requires a B driving license as the operations are geographically dispersed.
