Your new workplace

Grönborg Activity Center is located in Haga, near Norra Berget. At Grönborg AC, we work with individualized activities conducted in group settings. We do this in an engaged and careful manner so that everyone can be included, seen, and have the opportunity to grow. We are an activity center targeting a broad spectrum of ages and functional variations, where one of our groups focuses on sign language participants. It is in this group, focusing on sign language and sign-supported communication, that we are now looking for a new employee. It is important that you are hearing, as the staff at Grönborg works with all participants in the activity, and the majority have a need for hearing staff. It is also important that you communicate fluently in sign language.

How you contribute in the role of Support Assistant

In the role of Support Assistant at Grönborg AC, we work supportively with our care and service users. We do this by using low-affective interaction, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), as well as providing some care work. The care and service users at Grönborg have a combined broad variation of support needs, so you need to be comfortable working with different functional variations and all that entails. We are also an active activity center that goes out on various excursions and walks every day. This means that you need to have good physical fitness, both in the ability to walk longer distances and in being helpful to our participants during physical activities. It is also important that you can receive delegation for general medication as well as diabetes care and tube feeding. It is also important that you are a team player. We are a close-knit work group with a strong forward momentum, so it is important that you identify with the concepts of teamwork and development.

Your competence and experience

• Fluent in sign language.
• Nursing Assistant/Support Assistant/Support Educator
• Ability to receive medication delegation
• Experience with LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) and low-affective interaction/AAC
• The position requires the presentation of a police record extract.
