Your new workplace

The positions belong to the Activity Center division, focusing on autism and intellectual disabilities. You will be part of a staff team characterized by curiosity, engagement, and competence. We believe in collaboration – and this is something you, as an applicant, should also see as a given. Your ability to collaborate, teach, absorb new knowledge, and your willingness to develop in your role will be crucial for our success. The Activity Center in Falken is located in Granloholm, and the Activity Center on Majsvägen is located in Njurunda. It may become relevant in these positions to work at both facilities.

How you contribute in the role of Support Assistant

We provide support to individuals with disabilities/autism. As tools, we work with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) and low-arousal approaches. You will contribute to personal development, offering the individual stimulation, development, meaningfulness, and community according to their wishes. To achieve our goals, we work with clear and structured pedagogy to strengthen and motivate the individual. Social documentation is part of the role.

The successful candidate must have patience and the ability to work according to established methods and routines. You must also have the ability to adapt and adjust your work to the current situation. We believe that collaboration is a key factor for success, so you should be someone who believes in teamwork and sees great value in being part of a team.

Your skills and experience

  • Nurse assistant / Support assistant / Support educator
  • Category B driver's license
  • Experience working with the target group of individuals with intellectual disabilities combined with autism
  • Knowledge of AAC and low-arousal approaches

About the recruitment process

Salary: Monthly/hourly wage. Individual and differentiated salary setting applies.

Terms: Salary supplements beyond the monthly wage follow the applicable collective agreement. Central collective agreements can be found on the Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions website, www.skr.se
