Your new workplace

As a Support Assistant at the Luftvärnsvägen Group Housing facility, you are a key part of creating a safe, developmental, and meaningful existence for the care recipients.

Collaboration with other professions is part of your role to ensure that the care recipients' needs are met in a pedagogical and structured way, with a focus on the individual's participation and independence. Based on laws, goals, and guidelines, you contribute to ensuring that the user is at the center, has influence over, and is involved in their interventions.

You will work based on the LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) and other relevant legislation, as well as the municipality's value base, political goals, and other guidelines. The interventions should be based on the individual's psychological, physical, and social needs, with the aim of reducing the consequences of the impairment as much as possible.

For this position, we preferably seek female applicants.

How you contribute in the role of Support Assistant

The role includes:

  • Providing support, care, and nursing to the individual, and motivating them to engage in meaningful activities in a way that strengthens the individual's resources and enables as independent a life as possible.
  • Working with social documentation, follow-ups, and deviation reporting.
  • Structuring and planning work based on directives set by the employer.
  • Performing health and medical care tasks on delegation from nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists.
  • Following work methods, common approaches, routines, and guidelines.
  • Having areas of responsibility and assignments both within and outside the regular workplace.
  • Actively participating in meetings and planning days.
  • Contributing to the development of a high-quality operation by providing ideas for changes and improvements, as well as participating in competence development.
  • Assisting in the introduction of new staff and supervising students according to current routines.
  • Collaborating with the user's network and other partners.

The position includes work during evenings, weekends, and nights (on-call duty).

Your competence and experience

We are looking for you who have education as a Support Assistant (assistant nurse with a focus on the disability area) or other education deemed equivalent.

Requirements for the position:

  • Experience working with low-affective handling (de-escalation techniques)
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English

Merits:

  • Experience working with clarifying pedagogy
  • Previous experience working in similar operations
  • Knowledge and experience working with challenging behavior

Salary: Monthly/hourly wage. Individual and differentiated salary setting applies.

Terms: Salary supplements beyond the monthly wage follow the applicable collective agreement. Central collective agreements can be found on the Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions' website, www.skr.se
