Are you a journalist, writer, editor, or communicator looking to develop your skills in SEO, web content, and digital growth?

Birger is looking for an intern who wants to help build the content for a new digital brand within the construction and renovation industry.

This role is perfect for you if you have a strong sense for language, research, and editorial content, but are also curious about how text can be used to create visibility in Google, attract the right target audience, and contribute to real business results.

You will work practically with researching, writing, publishing, and optimizing content for the website. This can range from guides and articles to service pages, local landing pages, and explanatory content that helps homeowners make better decisions for various construction and renovation projects.

This is not an internship where you merely observe. You will be responsible for concrete tasks and have the opportunity to see how your work impacts the website's visibility, traffic, and number of customer inquiries.

What you will do

• Research and write articles, guides, and web pages
• Interview people with knowledge in construction, renovation, and housing
• Transform complex information into clear and easy-to-understand content
• Write SEO-optimized texts based on keywords and user search intent
• Create service pages and local landing pages for different locations and areas
• Publish and update content in the website's CMS
• Work with headlines, leads, metadata, and clear text structures
• Ensure consistent tone and high linguistic quality
• Fact-check and quality-assure existing content
• Optimize older texts based on ranking, traffic, and user behavior
• Analyze competitors' content and identify new topics to write about
• Work with internal linking and content structures
• Contribute to editorial plans and long-term content strategies
• Use AI tools as support for research, structuring, and content production
• Collaborate with people in SEO, web development, and digital marketing

We are looking for someone who

• Has a background in journalism, editorial work, copywriting, communication, or similar
• Has excellent ability to write clearly, correctly, and engagingly
• Enjoys doing research and diving into new subject areas
• Can adapt language and content to different target groups
• Is meticulous about facts, structure, and linguistic quality
• Is curious about SEO, search behavior, and digital publishing
• Can work independently and take responsibility for own tasks
• Is structured, proactive, and solution-oriented
• Wants to develop within digital content, content marketing, and organic growth

Very good Swedish in both speech and writing is a requirement for the role.

Advantageous but not required

• Education in journalism, media, communication, language, or marketing
• Experience writing articles, reports, guides, or web texts
• Experience in editorial work or digital publishing
• Experience with WordPress, Webflow, or other CMS platforms
• Basic knowledge of SEO or keyword analysis
• Experience with Google Search Console, Ahrefs, or Semrush
• Experience with interviews and fact-checking
• Basic understanding of UX, conversion, and web structure
• Experience with AI tools for research and content production
• Interest in construction, renovation, housing, or consumer journalism
