Do you want to build one of the most important functions in our future Prefab business?

At Thomas Betong, we don't just build with concrete – we are building the sustainable society of the future.

As part of Thomas Concrete Group, a family-owned international group headquartered in Gothenburg, we combine long-term vision with a high pace of development. The group was founded in 1955 and is today active in Sweden, Norway, Germany, Poland, and the USA.

Thomas Concrete Group has an annual turnover of approximately 11 billion SEK and employs around 2,400 people. The Swedish operations, Thomas Betong, have a turnover of approximately 2 billion SEK and are one of Sweden's leading players in concrete and prefabricated concrete solutions.

The Prefab business area is a key part of the Swedish operations, delivering prefabricated concrete solutions for residential buildings, public facilities, industrial, and commercial buildings. Here, we are responsible for the entire chain – from sales and design to construction, production, and delivery.

We are now strengthening our organization with a new strategic key role.

We are looking for a Head of Sales & Operations Planning who wants to build and develop a function with direct impact on the business.

This is not an administrative role.

It is an opportunity to create a modern Sales & Operations Planning function where sales, projects, design, and production work based on the same planning process and shared goals. You will be the one who creates structure, drives change, and ensures that we have the right capacity at the right time.

About the role

You will have overall responsibility for the business area's Sales & Operations Planning process and become the connecting force between the market and production.

Through analysis, forecasting, and cross-functional leadership, you ensure that our capacity matches market demand and that we deliver on our customer promises – with high profitability.

The role is as much about change management as it is about planning.

You drive the development of ways of working, processes, and digital tools while creating alignment between the various functions of the business.

You report to Marina Gasparius, Business Area Manager Prefab, and become an important part of the business area's leadership team.

Your main areas of responsibility

You will, among other things:

  • Own and develop the business area's Sales & Operations Planning process.

  • Ensure accurate forecasts and long-term capacity planning.

  • Translate sales forecasts and the project portfolio into realistic production and resource plans.

  • Identify bottlenecks, risks, and capacity challenges before they affect delivery or economics.

  • Lead cross-functional planning forums between sales, project management, design, and production.

  • Provide decision support for prioritizations, investments, and replanning.

  • Develop ways of working, KPIs, and digital planning tools.

  • Contribute to increased delivery precision, higher resource utilization, and improved profitability.

Who are you?

You are an experienced leader in planning, supply chain, or business development and have likely worked in a project-based industrial or manufacturing environment.

You are driven by creating order in complex environments and thrive when you get to build structures that make a real difference to the business.

You have strong analytical skills but are also a skilled communicator who gets people from different parts of the organization to work towards the same goal.

You see the big picture, challenge established ways of working, and have the courage to make decisions even when not all answers are available.

We believe you have
  • An academic degree in engineering, logistics, industrial economics, or equivalent.

  • Several years of experience in Sales & Operations Planning, Integrated Business Planning, or similar strategic planning roles.

  • Experience from project-based industry, construction, or manufacturing.

  • Documented experience in change management and process development.

  • Good business acumen and experience working in a data-driven manner.

  • Experience leading cross-functional collaborations.

  • Ability to translate analysis into decisions and execution.

Why Thomas Betong?

With us, you get the opportunity to make a real impact.

You will become part of a business in an exciting phase of development and receive the mandate to develop a function that will be crucial for the business area's continued growth and profitability.

You will join a leadership team where you will work closely with the business and contribute to developing how we plan and execute our projects.

We offer short decision-making paths, a family-owned company with a long-term perspective, and a culture characterized by collaboration, responsibility, and continuous development.

At the same time, you get the opportunity to be part of an international group with knowledge sharing and long-term development opportunities.

This is a role for you who want to combine strategy, business, and change management – and who are motivated by building structures that create results far beyond your own function.
