The Social Services and Leisure Department in Bromma District Administration is divided into four different areas. We are now looking for a temporary social secretary for the Unit for Addiction and Social Psychiatry, which is one of four units within the Adult Area. The remaining three units within the area are the Unit for People with Disabilities and the Unit for Housing and Support Measures 1 and 2.

The Unit for Addiction and Social Psychiatry is led by a unit manager and a team leader. The unit consists of four social secretaries working with addiction, two social secretaries and a CM working in the reception with both the social psychiatry and addiction target groups, six benefit administrators working with the social psychiatry target group, and two administrators. Starting from November this year, one of our employees in the investigation group for harmful use and addiction will be on leave, which is why we need a new colleague to step in during the absence. Your role

As a social secretary for the target group of harmful use and addiction, you have the opportunity to work with the individual at the center. Your work as a social secretary is both significant and multifaceted, as you, in dialogue with the individual user, should work to find the best solution for the person in question.

Your work includes, among other things, receiving and investigating incoming applications, making assessments on incoming reports, consulting colleagues, gathering information, making decisions, and following up on measures according to the Social Services Act and the Act on Care of Abusers in Certain Cases. Your work is based on the legislation and knowledge support available, and you work from an evidence-based practice, i.e., using the three knowledge sources: the users' perspective, theoretical knowledge, and proven experience.

In your work, you will collaborate both internally with colleagues in the city and externally with partners such as the region, the Swedish Public Employment Service (Försäkringskassa), and the police.

Your competence and experience

You have a degree in social work. It is an advantage if you have experience in exercising authority with the target group of harmful use and addiction.

You work both independently and structured by planning, organizing, and prioritizing your work well. You are relationship-building and have a very good ability to establish contact with people in a vulnerable situation. You are calm, stable, and have the ability to maintain a realistic perspective on situations that arise in daily work as an authority figure.

You have problem-solving analytical skills, work well with complex issues, and can quickly analyze situations and make decisions. You have very good collaboration skills, relate to others in a listening manner, and enjoy collaborating with other professions, always with the individual in focus. You value differences and understand that different backgrounds, cultures, and group affiliations can affect oneself and others in different ways.

Since the work usually involves meeting people in crisis and/or with a complex life situation, it is very important that you yourself can see opportunities, convey hope, and treat people in a respectful manner. Good treatment towards our users and partners is a matter of course for us.
