Within the Child and Education Administration, our approximately 3,000 employees meet around 14,000 children and students at more than 100 preschools and schools in the municipality every day. Every child and student in Sundsvall's preschools and schools should be able to develop, learn, and reach their goals based on their own prerequisites. Every student should leave school with the desire, knowledge, and good conditions to meet adult life and the future.

Your new workplace

Stöde School is a grades F-9 school located approximately a 40-minute drive west of Sundsvall. The school has around 260 students and an after-school center with nearly 100 children. We are 45 employees working together in various roles. At Stöde School, we develop together with a view towards the future, aiming to be a stable and secure knowledge hub for both students and staff. Our organization is characterized by short decision-making paths, joy in work, and great engagement. We have a well-functioning student health service where all professions collaborate to ensure every student succeeds.

How you contribute as a Student Resource/After-School Staff Member

Are you passionate about creating a safe and inclusive school environment combined with work at an after-school center? Do you want to be the crucial link that helps a student succeed both academically and socially? Then you could be the Student Resource/After-School Staff Member we are looking for at Stöde School!

As a Student Resource/After-School Staff Member with us, you work closely with an individual student/group of students in grades 1-6, as well as preschool class and after-school activities. Your focus is to provide that extra support that makes the school day and time at the after-school center understandable, manageable, and meaningful. You collaborate closely with class teachers, special education teachers, and the student health team to meet the student's specific needs.

Your main responsibilities:

• After-school work: Participate in planning and implementing education at the after-school center and contribute a positive attitude towards collaboration.
• Pedagogical support: Clarify instructions, structure school tasks, and help the student maintain focus during lessons.
• Social guidance: Support the student in social interaction with classmates, especially during unstructured times such as breaks and excursions, as well as during after-school hours.
• Create security: Use cognitive aids (e.g., visual supports or visual schedules) to create predictability and reduce stress.
• Practical assistance: Assist with mobility, meals, and other daily routines during the school day.

Your competence and experience

Who are you? We are looking for someone who is calm, self-assured, and has great patience. You have the ability to see the student's strengths and adapt your approach based on the situation. Previous experience working as a student resource in a school or working at an after-school center is meritorious.

Good to know

Salary: Monthly/Hourly wage. Individual and differentiated salary setting is applied.

Terms: Salary supplements beyond the monthly wage follow the applicable collective agreement. Central collective agreements can be found on the Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions' website, www.skr.se
