About the Department
We are now looking for a psychiatric nurse who wants to help develop future psychiatric outpatient care. Here, you will have the opportunity to work in a person-centered manner within an engaged multidisciplinary team, focusing on patients with affective disorders such as severe anxiety conditions, serious depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, complex trauma, or severe personality disorders.
The Psychiatric Clinic for Affective Disorders in Trollhättan is part of specialized psychiatry and offers evidence-based care with high quality. We actively work to create a good work environment where participation, competence development, and collaboration are at the center. The clinic is located in central Trollhättan, close to the travel center. There are two other clinics in the building: NP-LARO and the Psychosis/Bipolar Clinic. We have a good work community and collaborate to create good and accessible care for our patients.
Job Responsibilities
As a psychiatric nurse, you work independently and in close collaboration with doctors, psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, and medical secretaries. You are responsible for the assessment, follow-up, and treatment of patients with affective disorders.
Your duties include, among other things:
- Psychiatric assessments and nursing interventions.
- Supportive and therapeutic conversations.
- Psychoeducational interventions for patients and relatives.
- Follow-up of medication treatment.
- Coordination and care planning.
- Collaboration with primary care, the municipality, and other healthcare providers.
- Participation in the department's quality and development work.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who:
- Are a licensed nurse with a specialist degree in psychiatric care.
- Have experience in psychiatric work, preferably in outpatient care.
- Have a good ability to build trusting relationships with patients and relatives.
- Are responsible, structured, and confident in your professional role.
- Enjoy working both independently and in a team.
