About us - The Surgical Clinic, Ward 62

As a nurse at NU Hospital, you make a difference for other people - every day. Lives are saved here, lives are changed here. Here you work closely with other professional categories where we at the surgical clinic collaborate and help each other across ward boundaries and clinics. Here you get the opportunity to work with broad and advanced care characterized by development and teamwork! Ward 62 has 18 care beds and is a surgical ward that primarily performs advanced abdominal surgery. Our focus is mainly planned surgery of the lower abdominal organs (colon and rectum). We also have an endocrinological focus with thyroid and parathyroid operations.

At Ward 62, you are part of a daily routine where pre- and post-operative care is a central part, and high patient throughput characterizes the unit. We have clear teamwork, and you become part of a team consisting of nurses, assistant nurses, specialist nurses, and doctors. We value high-quality onboarding where your introduction is tailored based on experience and knowledge! At our workplace, recovery and development are in focus. We work according to individual schedules. The shift times are set in consultation with the manager.

Qualifications

Licensed nurse. It is desirable that you have previous experience in emergency care or experience as a nurse in surgery, but it is not a requirement. You are a person who enjoys working in a team and has good cooperation skills but also thrives working independently. We would like you to be responsible, meticulous, flexible, enjoy varied tasks, and have an interest in human interactions. Personal suitability is highly valued.
