Sydöstra Jämtlands Pastorate consists of 16 parishes in the municipalities of Berg, Östersund, Bräcke, and Ragunda. The pastorate's approximately 100 employees work where the present meets history; from the ski resort Klövsjö, the gold medal village of cross-country skiing Åsarna, the Torvalla district in Östersund, to the area where Vildhussen's careless excavation work once created Döda fallet.

We are now looking for a priest for the Church of Holy Light in Torvalla

About the position: Your assignment is to serve as a parish priest in Torvalla, a suburb of Östersund belonging to the Brunflo parish. In Torvalla stands the Church of Holy Light, which is a collaborative church with EFS, a lay movement within the Church of Sweden. The church is located in the center, and many people walk into or past the church every day on their way to and from the store, work, or school. As a priest here, you will have the opportunity to meet people of different ages and from different cultures. The Church of Sweden collaborates with both civil society organizations and the municipality in several different ways.

As a priest in Torvalla, you will work with deepening conversations about life questions and Christian faith, as well as traditional priestly duties such as worship services, church ceremonies, confirmation, and youth activities.

We are looking for someone who creates and maintains good relationships, who can organize and set boundaries for yourself and the work team so that the operations remain sustainable.

We also look for someone engaged in the confirmation work team, which is a pastorate-wide working group. Personal suitability is of great importance.
