The Opportunity

Do you want to work with market-leading manufacturing and development of composite insulators at Hitachi Energy’s competence centre for high-performance polymeric fibre composites in Piteå? We develop and manufacture market-leading composite insulators for high-voltage and ultra-high-voltage equipment. Our core competence lies in the mechanical, electrical, and physical properties and manufacturing processes for high-performance polymeric composite materials. Our customers are located worldwide, both within and outside Hitachi.

In the role of Production Manager here, you will have the opportunity to influence, take responsibility, and contribute to quality, efficiency, and safety. You will lead and support your team and contribute to a positive work environment where employees thrive and develop. You ensure that production follows set goals and routines. You handle daily challenges and find solutions that drive production forward.

How you will make an impact

• Personnel responsibility for your team, as well as responsibility for building and developing your employees, driving process improvements, and creating a safe and secure work environment.
• Work towards set goals regarding health and safety, productivity, delivery security, and quality.
• Participate in internal projects and continue to develop the business.
• Develop the unit's approach and ensure it is communicated, discussed, and implemented within your team.
• Work together with your team and other units to find solutions and contribute to efficient working methods.
• You share Hitachi Energy’s fundamental values regarding safety and integrity, which means you take responsibility for your own actions while also feeling responsible for your colleagues and the business operations.

Your background

• You have previous experience of leadership in production within the manufacturing industry.
• Previous experience from a production environment and a good understanding of industry as well as production planning, resource allocation, and process optimization.
• Ability to lead teams towards set goals and continuous improvements.
• Experience of collaborating with other units.
• Good knowledge of safety, quality, and efficiency work in the manufacturing industry.
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
