Program Coordinator for Adult Services at Tomelilla Library
In Österlen, we create the conditions for a high quality of life, where Tomelilla Municipality is a place for inspiration and development. The municipality has approximately 800 employees, and we offer you excellent opportunities for professional growth, participation through trust, and the possibility to balance work and leisure.
We are currently on a development journey focused on streamlining and improving our service. Our ambition is to be leaders in leveraging the opportunities provided by digitalization. In short – we want to make it easy for everyone who lives in, works in, or visits Tomelilla Municipality.
About Tomelilla Library
Tomelilla Library consists of a main library and three branch libraries. All libraries have extended opening hours. The branches are located at the schools in Brösarp, Onslunda, and Smedstorp.
The main library is located in Tomelilla Culture House, which also houses an art gallery and a visual arts school. The proximity between these facilities makes it natural to conduct both spontaneous and long-term collaborations. Approximately 100,000 people visit the activities in and around the Culture House each year.
Tomelilla Library is characterized by a service-oriented mindset and a focus on development. Our staff is a positive team of nine people who prioritize collaboration and flexibility to enhance the library's service level. We push boundaries and dare to try new things.
A new library plan for 2027–2031 will be adopted this autumn. It shows us a clear direction towards our democratic mission, with Agenda 2030 as the framework. The following areas will be in focus in the coming years:
- Accessibility & participation
- Lifelong reading & learning
- Art, culture & literature
- Readiness
