Stålvallaskolan is a comprehensive school (grades F–9) located in Lesjöfors, approximately 30 km north of Filipstad. The school has around 100 students. We offer a cozy working environment with positive and helpful colleagues. We work in two teams, divided into grades F–5 and 6–9. The school has a student health team consisting of an assistant principal, a special needs educator, a counselor, and a school nurse.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for teaching Mathematics and, potentially, Natural Sciences (NO) in grades 6–9. The position also includes mentorship for a group of students.

The role includes standard duties such as subject planning, teaching, documentation, supervision during breaks, and participation in the work team. You will also have budget responsibility and handle the procurement of teaching materials for your subjects.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified and qualified teacher in Mathematics/Natural Sciences for grades 6–9. Together with future colleagues and new students, you want to help create a positive school culture at Stålvallaskolan.

You need to be a confident and clear leader with a focus on student goal achievement. We see you as a teacher who builds your instruction on close pedagogical relationships with students and who is passionate about meeting students in their individual development based on their experiences, prior knowledge, needs, and abilities.

Conditions

A valid extract from the police criminal record is a requirement for employment in this position.
