The position is located within Holmesskolan, Oleby School, and Östmarks School.

Holmesskolan is a lower primary school in the town of Torsby with approximately 320 students from preschool class to year 3, as well as an adapted primary school.

Oleby School is located approximately four kilometers east of Torsby. Approximately 50 students attend preschool class to year 3 here.

Östmarks School is located in Östmark, approximately two miles northwest of Torsby. The school has around 40 students from preschool class to year 5.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a special needs teacher, you work together with the school's student health team and educators to support students' learning and development. You contribute to creating accessible learning environments and developing teaching so that all students are given the best possible conditions to achieve their goals.

You work closely with teachers and students through support measures in the classroom, individually and in small groups. The assignment also includes mentoring educators in special pedagogical matters, as well as mapping, analyzing, and following up on students' learning.

You are responsible for screening and mapping within language, reading, and writing development. Together with teachers, you analyze results and plan interventions that meet students' needs at both individual and group levels.

We are looking for you who want to contribute to the development of our operations while making a difference for students' learning and well-being. You have a good ability to build trusting and professional relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians.

You meet every student with attentiveness and respect and have a holistic perspective where strengths, needs, and conditions are taken into account. Through your approach, you create security, motivation, and conditions for development. You are flexible in your working methods and adapt both support and communication based on each student's needs. In this way, you contribute to participation and strengthen students' confidence in their own abilities.

Collaboration is a natural part of your assignment, and together with colleagues and the various professions within the student health service, you work both preventively and health-promoting. You contribute to developing structures, working methods, and learning environments that increase accessibility and give students good opportunities to succeed in their learning.

You feel confident in the role of mentor and contribute actively to the dialogue regarding pedagogical and didactic issues. By making needs visible, analyzing results, and developing operations, you are also an important part of the school's systematic quality work.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who:

• Are a certified teacher with a special needs teacher degree.
• Have a good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish.
• Have a B-driving license and access to your own car, as travel between schools is included in the position.

Salary: Monthly salary.
Employment type: Permanent position.
Duration: Permanent, start date: 2026-08-10. Start as soon as possible or by agreement.
