Lantmännen Biorefineries and the Food Ingredients business area work with refining grains and circular by-products, which are then turned into ingredients and products for the food industry. The production facilities are located in Kimstad, Lidköping, and Norrköping.
One of the ingredients produced is gluten. Gluten is a component that – among several different applications – is important for increasing the volume and stability of bread and bakery products. Gluten is a major product within the Food Ingredients business area.
We are currently looking for you who want to drive continued sales and build good relationships within the segment – and take on a key role within the sales organization!
About the role
As a Key Account Manager (KAM) for gluten, you will work with both new customer contacts and the further development of existing relationships. The sales processes are complex and require a systematic approach. It is important to have commercial drive, strong analytical skills, and good negotiation experience to succeed in this role.
Our customers today are primarily located in the Nordics and Northern Europe, but also in the USA and Asia.
You will report to the Head of Sales for Food Ingredients and work closely with the rest of the sales team. You will also collaborate with internal functions such as logistics, production, controlling, product and application development, as well as business development.
The position is based at Lantmännen's headquarters in Stockholm or at one of the facilities in Norrköping, Kimstad, or Lidköping.
Main responsibilities:
- Independently plan and execute sales activities towards your customers
- Lead customer negotiations
- Market surveillance regarding competitors, prices, availability, etc.
- Budget responsibility for your own customer portfolio, as well as following up on results and profitability
- Contribute inputs for budgets, forecasts, and strategic planning
- Work systematically in the CRM system to document activities and develop market processing
- Participate in relevant trade fairs
- Be involved in product development projects with customers based on needs and opportunities
We are looking for someone who has
- An academic education in a relevant field or equivalent competence acquired through work experience
- Experience in complex B2B sales within ingredients, for the food industry, or a very similar process industry
- Experience with international customers and markets
- Experience in following market prices and making decisions based on business data
- Fluency in English – and likely Swedish – in both speech and writing
Meritorious experience
- Experience in sales to bakery customers
- Experience in sales via resellers
- Basic understanding of product development and production processes
Who are you?
We believe that you are analytical, self-starting, and have strong commercial drive. You understand how larger manufacturing organizations function and what complex sales processes look like.
You are a person who takes initiative, works proactively, and has the ability to drive business in a structured manner. You also have the capacity to handle several parallel projects.
You are brave and enjoy contacting new customers. When presenting business proposals, you naturally focus on business benefits, business cases, and well-founded data. You also understand that sales in this type of business is built on long-term relationships and sustained effort.
