Temporary Substitute Teachers for Preschool, Grades 1-3, After-School Centers, and Grades 4-9

We are now seeking temporary substitutes for preschool, grades 1-3, after-school centers, and grades 4-9 for the autumn term. You can choose to work in one or more of our operations based on your interest and experience. As a substitute, you are an important part of the municipality's welfare mission and contribute to creating safety, learning, and a positive daily life for our children and students.

Through our system, Vikariebanken, you control which days you can work. This makes the work flexible and easy to combine with studies or other activities. At the same time, you gain a varied assignment where no working day is like the other.

Responsibilities

When regular staff is absent, our children and students need a reliable and engaged substitute. We offer work in the following areas:

• Preschool: In preschool, you work with children aged 1-5. You help create a safe, educational, and stimulating environment by participating in play, activities, and daily routines together with the children and other staff.
• Preschool Class, Lower Primary, and After-School Centers: In grades 1-3 and after-school centers, you work with children aged approximately 6-10. You support students during the school day and at the after-school center by contributing to a safe and positive learning environment. Tasks may include assisting in teaching, activities, and during recess.
• Middle and Upper Secondary: In middle and upper secondary school, you work with students aged approximately 10-16. You support the operation by helping students with their schoolwork, contributing to study quiet and safety, and following the planning of regular teachers.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in working with children and young people. To thrive in this role, it is important that you are responsible, secure, and attuned to the needs of children and students. You have good collaboration skills while being able to work independently when the situation requires it.

As a substitute, you need to be flexible and proactive, as working days can vary and assignments are sometimes filled with short notice. You have a positive attitude and contribute to creating a safe and stimulating environment for children and students. We value your ability to build good relationships with children, students, guardians, and colleagues.

The requirements for the position are a completed upper secondary education and good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. Experience working with children and young people, relevant education, and a B-class driver's license are meritorious.

In our operations, all individuals to be employed to work with children and young people must, according to law (2000:873), present a clean extract from the Police's criminal record.
