About Us
About the Company
Do you want to work for one of the world's leading IoT companies – right in the heart of Umeå? In this role, you will be our Product Expert and a key member of our international sales team. At ELSYS, we develop some of the world's most widely used LoRaWAN sensors for smart buildings. Our products are used in thousands of installations worldwide to measure temperature, humidity, presence, and indoor climate. Today, we are an established brand on the international IoT market, with the majority of our customers located outside of Sweden. What makes ELSYS unique is that we develop the entire product in-house. Everything is under one roof – from hardware and software development to production, sales, and marketing. We work closely together across departmental boundaries, giving you a unique insight into the entire product development journey, from initial idea and prototype to the finished product in customers' hands around the world. Here, you also have the opportunity to make an impact. Ideas don't stay in the meeting room – they become reality.
Your Responsibilities
We are now looking for a Product Expert who wants to become the technical link between our products, our customers, and our development teams. You will help customers, partners, and colleagues succeed with our solutions through technical advice, training, and support. You will participate in customer meetings alongside the sales team, solve technical challenges, and ensure that our customers get the maximum value from our products. We want to be more proactive in our customer relationships and identify technical needs earlier in the process. Therefore, you will play a central role in ensuring that customers receive the right solution from the start and that their experience with ELSYS is as positive as possible. At the same time, you will work closely with our developers, bringing the customer's voice into product development. Your insights will become a crucial part of how the next generation of ELSYS products is shaped. Your tasks will include, but are not limited to: • Providing technical support to the sales department in complex customer dialogues. • Participating in and occasionally leading technical customer meetings. • Training and supporting our resellers worldwide. • Following up on projects and deliveries to ensure customer satisfaction. • Managing and coordinating technical support cases. • Troubleshooting products, installations, and system solutions. • Responsible for the RMA process and technical verification of products. • Identifying opportunities for improvement in products, processes, and documentation. • Communicating customer feedback to product development and other parts of the organization.
Your Profile
We believe you have a technical education in electrical engineering, electronics, computer science, systems engineering, automation, programming, or equivalent experience from a technical role where you have worked with products, systems, troubleshooting, or technical advisory services. We believe the right person is curious, technically sharp, and motivated by understanding how things work. Your educational background is less important than your ability to quickly grasp new technology and apply it in practice. You have likely worked in a technical role where you combined problem-solving with customer contact, for example within: • Technical Support • Pre-sales • Technical Consultation • Application Support • Electronics or IoT • Industrial Technology • Telecom or Networking We would appreciate experience working closely with customers and feeling confident in conducting technical discussions with both technical and non-technical individuals. We believe you have: • Good technical understanding of electronics, systems, networks, or programming. • Experience in troubleshooting and technical problem-solving. • Very good command of English, both spoken and written. • Ability to read and understand technical documentation. • Ability to use basic measuring instruments. • A structured and solution-oriented approach to work. To thrive with us, we believe you are: • Curious and quick to learn new things. • Outgoing and communicative. • Independent and proactive. • Business-minded and service-oriented. • Unpretentious and collaborative. • Someone who sees opportunities and drives improvements rather than waiting for instructions. Why you will thrive at ELSYS Here, you will work in an innovative technology company with customers around the world. We are approximately 18 employees in Umeå, offering an environment where decision-making paths are short, ideas are valued, and you have the opportunity to influence both your own role and the company's development. You will work with advanced technology, international customers, and competent colleagues in an organization where engagement, innovation, and customer focus permeate the business. Employment Information Location: Umeå Scope: Full-time Reports to: Chief Sales Officer (CSO) Start date: As agreed The work is primarily during daytime hours, but some flexibility may be required as we work with customers and partners in different parts of the world. Occasional travel related to trade shows, customer meetings, or partner activities may occur.
