Travel Service Technician for KMC Ytbehandling AB

We are now looking for a travel service technician who wants to become a vital part of the team, working with the service and installation of advanced industrial equipment for customers across Sweden.

About the Role

As a travel service technician at KMC, you will have a varied and independent role responsible for the installation, service, maintenance, and troubleshooting of their machinery at customer sites. You will work with equipment related to blasting, tumbling, surface treatment, die casting, and balancing.

The role involves extensive travel within Sweden and several nights in hotels per year. You will also travel to their suppliers in Europe for training, machine inspections, and technical reviews.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for tasks such as:

• Installation and commissioning of new machinery.
• Mechanical maintenance, service, and repair of industrial machines.
• Troubleshooting and resolving urgent breakdowns.
• Preventive service, machine inspections, and maintenance according to service plans.
• Upgrades and modernization of existing equipment.
• Technical documentation and reporting of completed work.
• Technical advice to customers regarding operation, maintenance, and improvements.
• Identifying the need for spare parts and future upgrades.

We are looking for someone with a technical background and experience in mechanical maintenance, service, or installation within the industry. You should have a good understanding of industrial electricity, be able to read electrical diagrams, and have experience with troubleshooting. Experience with control systems or PLCs is a plus.

We prefer that you have:

• A technical education at least at the upper secondary level (e.g., mechanics, electrical, automation, or equivalent).
• Experience in mechanical maintenance, service, and installation within the industry.
• Strong knowledge of industrial electricity and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read drawings and technical documentation.
• A valid driver's license (Category B).
• Good proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

Other Information

The position involves travel throughout Sweden as well as some travel within Europe for training and supplier visits. The location is flexible, but we prefer candidates residing in Southern Sweden, Stockholm, or the Mälaren Valley, as many of our customers are located in these areas.

A service vehicle is provided from your home when possible, and you will have access to modern tools and equipment that provide you with excellent conditions for success in the role.
