Are you the one we are looking for?

Haglunds Bygg is now looking for a Customer-Focused Construction Project Manager for their Stockholm office. This is a key role for you who has extensive experience driving complex construction projects and wants to take overall responsibility, from the first customer dialogue to final delivery.

You will be ultimately responsible for the execution of the projects and have overall responsibility for the economy, schedule, quality, resources, and leadership. The role suits you who are used to making decisions, creating structure, and leading people towards common goals, while building long-term customer relationships and developing the business.

We are looking for a confident and independent leader with documented experience in delivering successful construction projects.

Your responsibilities

• Act as the customer's primary contact throughout the project
• Lead and drive construction and concept construction projects from design to final inspection and handover
• Have ultimate responsibility for the project's economy, budget, forecasts, and profitability
• Ensure that projects are delivered according to schedule, budget, quality, and the customer's vision
• Lead and coordinate contractors, suppliers, consultants, and internal project teams
• Responsible for resource planning and creating conditions for efficient project execution
• Identify risks and make business decisions throughout the project's lifecycle
• Build and develop long-term customer relationships and create new business opportunities

Your profile

We are looking for you who is an experienced and business-driven construction project manager with natural leadership skills. You are confident in taking ultimate responsibility for both people, economy, and projects, and thrive in a role where you can combine strategic thinking with operational execution.

You are independent, unpretentious, and used to handling several complex projects in parallel. At the same time, you are a skilled communicator who builds trust with customers, contractors, and colleagues.

To succeed in the role, you have a strong financial understanding, a clear business focus, and the ability to make well-founded decisions even when the pace is high.

We are looking for someone who

• Has many years of experience leading construction projects with full responsibility for economy, quality, schedule, and resources
• Has documented experience in successfully delivering larger construction projects and can present relevant reference projects
• Has experience with budgeting, calculations, forecasts, and project follow-up
• Is a confident leader with experience leading project organizations, contractors, and cross-functional teams
• Has a good understanding of construction production, contracting processes, and construction technology
• Has experience in customer responsibility and is used to developing long-term business relationships
• Is independent and thrives with a large degree of personal responsibility
• Speaks and writes Swedish and English fluently
• Has a B driving license

Meritorious

• Experience in concept construction
• Background as a tradesperson in construction, e.g., carpenter or similar, combined with further career in project management
• University or civil engineering education in construction, e.g., from KTH or equivalent, together with documented project management experience
• Experience with commercial projects, store establishments, or large-scale contracting

Employment type: Full-time with an initial probationary period
Working hours: 08:00–17:00 with flexibility

Travel: Business travel occurs as projects are conducted across Sweden. During the initial period in the role, you are also expected to work from Haglunds Bygg's office in Gothenburg 1–2 days per week as part of the introduction
