We are looking for a Psychologist for the Stockholm Men's Clinic
About Us:
The Men's Clinic is a sexual and relationship health clinic serving all men and transgender individuals. Our clinic is located in beautiful premises within the Kista Galleria shopping center. We offer examinations, testing, and treatment for sexually transmitted infections (STIs), as well as support, advice, and psychological treatment for sexual and relational problems. We also provide educational and informational initiatives to other healthcare providers. We use chat and video meetings via the "Alltid Öppet" app as a complement to physical visits at the clinic.
Our team consists of nurses, midwives, psychologists, and doctors with broad competence in the fields of sexual medicine and sexology.
For more information about our operations, please visit our website, Stockholms mansmottagning.
What We Offer:
The Stockholm Men's Clinic is part of the Stockholm County Council (SLSO), one of Sweden's largest healthcare providers. We offer health and medical care at all stages of life. We operate in psychiatry, primary care, geriatrics, ASIH, somatic specialist care, urgent care, habilitation, assistive devices, and research centers. Together, we are more than 11,500 employees. Our employees make a difference now and in the future.
SLSO creates good conditions for you as an employee to develop and excel in your profession. As an employee, you enjoy benefits such as free healthcare, additional compensation during parental leave, opportunities for salary exchange, contractual pension, and insurance.
About the Position:
We are now looking for an employee who will primarily work with the assessment and treatment of sexual problems. You may also be involved in outward-facing educational initiatives and consultations internally and for other healthcare providers. Although a large part of the work is independent, we value collaboration. Cross-professional exchange among colleagues is a natural part of our operations. Since our clinic is a small workplace, we expect you to be flexible and willing to help out where needed.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Registered Psychologist.
Further education in sexology and/or sexual medicine, as well as experience in clinical work with sexual complaints, is meritorious. It is also meritorious if you master and can conduct treatment in languages other than Swedish. We believe that you, as the applicant, have a few years of experience in your professional role.
Since patient meetings at the Men's Clinic take place both physically at the clinic and digitally via video meetings and chat, it is beneficial if you have experience with this type of work.
Employment Type:
Permanent position. Full-time (100%). Working hours Monday–Friday. Probationary period may apply. Start date by agreement.
Personal Qualities:
We want the work to add energy to your life outside of work, not the other way around. To achieve this, we want you to be ambitious and engaged in your job while maintaining a healthy distance between yourself and your professional role. Ideas for developing yourself and the operations are exciting traits that we appreciate. Since we are a small operation, it is required that you are secure in your work role.
Those working at our clinic need to be flexible, solution-oriented, and accustomed to taking personal responsibility in their work. You are expected to be comfortable discussing sex and sexuality, and you need to be prepared for the fact that views on sexuality and what is considered normal/healthy vary between individuals.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
Other Information:
We will continuously review applications and may call for interviews before the final application deadline.
We warmly welcome your application!
The position will be filled provided it does not need to be reserved for internal relocation, according to current regulations.
For patient-facing work within Stockholm County Council (SLSO):
- A register check is applied before the decision on employment according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for register checks upon employment.
- Employees who will have patient contact must undergo a new employment health examination, according to current directives, which takes place through occupational health services before employment.
- In addition to Swedish professional licensure, good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is required. The same requirements are guiding for non-licensed staff with patient contact.
Stockholm County Council (SLSO) is one of Sweden's largest healthcare providers with 11,600 employees. We offer health and medical care under the auspices of Region Stockholm in psychiatry, primary care, geriatrics, ASIH, urgent care, somatic specialist care, habilitation and health, and assistive devices. In collaboration with Karolinska Institutet, we conduct research, education, and development. Read more about SLSO here.
