Do you want to work in a strategic role where you are responsible for some of the organization's most important contracts? Västtrafik is now looking for a Business Manager who wants to combine business acumen, analysis, and collaboration to ensure delivery, quality, and long-term development within demand-responsive transport.

- Location: Skövde, with some possibility of travel within the region
- Note! You need to be physically present in Skövde 3-4 days a week.

About the Assignment
As a Department Manager, you have a business-oriented leadership role where your primary focus is to create conditions for employees to succeed. Through active and present leadership, you work with coaching, goal monitoring, development discussions, and ongoing dialogue. At the same time, you are responsible for ensuring that the business delivers according to assignments, goals, and quality requirements. You operate in an environment where collaboration with internal and external stakeholders is a natural part of everyday life, and where stable operations need to be combined with development and improvement work. The assignment involves leading a department of approximately 14 employees in a complex operation with many contact points and high demands on quality, accessibility, and delivery.
Your Areas of Responsibility
- Lead, coach, and develop employees through close and present leadership.
- Conduct employee discussions, development discussions, and regular goal monitoring.
- Create clarity in structure, responsibility, and working methods.
- Ensure a sustainable and efficient operation with a focus on quality, delivery, and customer benefit.
- Contribute to progress in operational, tactical, and strategic issues.
- Actively participate in the organization's development and change work.

- Have several years of experience as a first-line manager.
- Are accustomed to leading in operational operations with many contact points.

- Are confident in making decisions and creating progress even in complex situations.
- Are a clear, sensitive, and situation-adapted communicator.
- Have documented experience of personnel responsibility and leadership through dialogue, monitoring, and development.
Meritorious
- More than three years of experience as a first-line manager.
- Experience in change management.
- Experience from public transport or other publicly funded operations.
- Experience working in a politically governed organization.
- Experience in procurement, contracts, and supplier management.
