Job Description

The Meal Organization is looking for an engaged and service-oriented cook for the kitchen at Kungsmadskolan. We are looking for you who are passionate about cooking, appreciate collaboration, and want to contribute to giving our guests a positive meal experience every day.

The kitchen at Kungsmadskolan is a production kitchen responsible for producing and distributing meals to several operations. Here, seven employees work together to plan, prepare, and deliver meals with a focus on quality, nutrition, and good service.

Every day, the kitchen produces approximately 2,500 lunch portions. About 1,000 guests eat in the dining hall, while the remaining meals are distributed to other schools. The operation is characterized by a structured approach, good collaboration, and a shared focus on creating safe, pleasant, and well-functioning meals for our guests.

As a cook with us, you are an important part of the team and participate in the daily work in the kitchen. The work includes among other things:

• Prepare and quality-assure meals according to menu and recipes.
• Handle and prepare special diets.
• Participate in serving and contribute to a good reception.
• Participate in dishwashing and cleaning.
• Ensure that hygiene, self-control, and food safety routines are followed.
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan and carry out the daily work.
• Contribute to the development of the operation and a good working environment.

Qualifications

We primarily seek you with a cook's education, and secondarily you who have experience working in a large kitchen or have other kitchen training.

We want you to have a strong interest in providing good service and a pleasant attitude towards our customers.

You should have good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing, as well as computer skills.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability and expect you to be a good representative of Växjö Municipality.
