Solenskolan is a primary school (grades F-6) with approximately 300 students and 40 staff members, located at the southern entrance to Härnösand. In addition to the primary school operations (grades F-6), we have three after-school care departments. The school is multicultural with a large proportion of multilingual students, which means we work with a language-developing approach where we see multilingualism as a strength. Practical and aesthetic activities are a prioritized and natural part of our daily operations. The proximity to sea and forest environments is utilized to the fullest extent, both during the school day and in after-school activities.

About the Position

Our daily life is characterized by collaboration with a focus on students' learning and development. We create common goal images and utilize competencies optimally. It is natural to work closely with colleagues, sharing planning and structures for the students. As a teacher with us, you are responsible for planning, teaching, and evaluating operations based on the curriculum and other regulatory documents. You contribute to creating an environment aimed at strengthening our students in both their knowledge development and their personal growth and hope for the future.

As a craft teacher (slöjdlärare) with us, you will have the opportunity to develop the subject in an updated craft room, alongside a professional colleague who will be your closest partner. You will plan common work areas based on the craft subject, but also engage in cross-curricular collaborations with colleagues in other subjects—all to give students the best possible conditions.

Learning together through joint collegial professional development, starting from the students' needs, is a natural part of our way of working. At Solenskolan, there is a development group with lead teachers who, together with school management, drive school development forward. In the municipality, there is a network for practical-aesthetic subjects that meets continuously.

Qualifications

Teacher degree with teacher certification demonstrating eligibility to teach the craft subject. It is advantageous if you are also eligible to teach in additional subjects.

Salary

Individual salary setting applies.

Working Hours/Duration

Full-time, permanent. Craft teaching constitutes approximately 65% of the position. The remaining part can be combined with another subject based on the applicant's eligibility and operational needs. Collaboration regarding teaching at other schools may also become relevant.

Other

The position is subject to the necessary decisions being made. A requirement for work within the school is a clean certificate from the police register (background check).
