As a school psychologist in Arboga Municipality, you will primarily work with primary and lower secondary schools. The main focus of the role is to develop and implement preventive and promotional work in schools to improve students' health and academic results. The psychologist is expected to be proactive in developing interventions, conducting consultations with staff, providing training on approaches, and being part of the school's student health teams.

As a school psychologist, you are also a key part of assessing students' need for support in the classroom. You play a central role in efforts to increase school attendance, possess knowledge regarding disruptive behaviors in the classroom, and have an understanding of how neuropsychiatric disabilities affect students.

The role also includes conducting individual investigations and intelligence assessments of students. As a school psychologist, you work both independently in dialogue with principals and staff, as well as as part of the team in the central student health service, which consists of additional school psychologists, school counselors, and school nurses.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed psychologist and have experience working with children and young people, as well as experience in consultative assignments. We are looking for someone who is proactive and engaged in student health, structured, and enjoys working together with others. Personal suitability is highly valued.

Conditions

• The position is a temporary assignment, part-time 60%.
• Start date by agreement, until 2027-06-30.
