Vattenfall Vattenkraft is responsible for Vattenfall's 90 hydropower plants and approximately 300 dams in the Nordic region. We have around 580 employees in Sweden and Finland, with our headquarters in Luleå. The renewable electricity production from hydropower is a prerequisite for creating a climate-smart society, where we play a vital role as an enabler for future sustainable energy systems. Our production accounts for approximately 25% of Sweden's total electricity demand. To deliver high availability in our production, we must constantly challenge ourselves, develop our ways of working, and leverage digital opportunities. You will become an important part of this work!

Do you want to work with hydropower's IT systems while contributing to the energy systems of the future?

As an IT Service Manager, you have a key role where technology meets real-world impact. You work closely with the business operations and contribute to ensuring our IT systems function every day, year-round, in a business that accounts for a significant portion of Sweden's electricity production.

You will be part of a team working on development and IT security for hydropower's IT systems. As an IT Service Manager, you have an important responsibility for ensuring that the systems are both developed and managed in a way that strengthens existing requirements and needs.

You work within a service management model inspired by PM3 and play a key role in creating structure, quality, and progress. You may also be responsible for selected feasibility studies, analyses, investigations, and projects related to your current IT service management areas, as needed.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Ensure stable and efficient management of both administrative and production-proximate IT systems
  • Drive improvements and development of systems and working methods related to digitalization
  • Coordinate needs between operations, IT, and external suppliers
  • Facilitate dialogue with various parts of the organization, locally and at the group level
  • Monitor deliveries, quality, and the value of our IT services.

Requirements

We are looking for someone motivated by ensuring that IT service management truly supports the business's needs. You have the ability to make IT systems, technology, and operations work together and thrive in a role where you collaborate, build relationships, and take initiative for improvements within the service management area.

You have:

  • Experience with IT service management and very strong IT technical competence
  • Post-secondary education in IT or systems science, or equivalent competence acquired through work experience
  • Experience with structured working methods, preferably PM3
  • Ability to create structure and overview in complex and composite system environments
  • Experience collaborating and coordinating with various stakeholders, both technical and operational
  • Good communication skills; you speak and write both Swedish and English.

It is a plus if you also have:

  • Certification in service management
  • Documented experience driving improvements and development of systems and working methods related to digitalization
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Copilot
  • Experience working with analyses, investigations, and/or project management within IT.

Location

Luleå or Sundsvall. Business travel occurs; a valid driver's license (Category B) is required.
