Markverkstad Syd (Southern Land Workshop)

The Land Workshops (MvE) are a unit belonging to the Army Staff. We perform maintenance on the Swedish Armed Forces' ground equipment and air base equipment, and deliver technical system support. This involves maintenance in the form of inspection, repairs, manufacturing, dismantling/scraping, modifications, operational support, technical adaptation, and equipment inspection. The Land Workshop unit delivers services according to customer requirements.

You will be part of Markverkstad Syd, which operates in Revingehed, Ronneby, Karlskrona, and Tofta. Together, we are approximately 180 employees.

Main Responsibilities

As an armored vehicle mechanic, you will primarily work with maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of armored vehicles, both tracked and wheeled, and their systems. The work involves both preventive and corrective maintenance, as well as modification and conversion based on established specifications.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

• Minimum completed two- or three-year upper secondary education with a focus on technology or equivalent, or alternatively, competence acquired through professional experience assessed by the employer as equivalent.
• Computer literacy with knowledge of the MS Office package, primarily Word and Excel.
• Good knowledge of technology and troubleshooting.
• Category B driver's license.

You are flexible and can easily shift your focus and adapt to a changing environment. Merits

• Certification in refrigeration/air conditioning.
• Previous experience working as an armored vehicle mechanic or mechanic in a similar field.
• Swedish Armed Forces mechanic training on any vehicle system is desirable, or alternatively, system technician training.
• Previous experience and knowledge of workshop operations and equipment maintenance in the Swedish Armed Forces.
• Familiarity with the Swedish Armed Forces and its systems.

Employment type: Permanent position starting with a 6-month probationary period.

Employment level: Full-time, daytime hours – varying working hours may occur.

Work location: Markverkstad Syd/Revingehed.

Start date: As soon as possible after agreement.

The work involves travel and duty requirements, both domestic and international.

The position is a civilian appointment.

Work with hardening plastics may occur at the land workshop.
