Then this might be the role for you. VINAB is now looking for a driven HSE Manager who wants to help develop the company on our continued growth journey. Here, you will have a central role where you contribute to developing both structure and culture.

About the role:

As HSE Manager, you play a key role in driving and supporting our industrial operations regarding quality, environment, and occupational health and safety. Documentation, communication, coordination, and follow-up are central parts of the role, as is developing and improving processes, routines, and working methods that strengthen the business over time.

You enjoy moving around within the operations and traveling within the region to support managers and employees in a coaching and operationally close manner. The work should pave the way forward towards a healthy, safe, and sustainable VINAB.

In addition to the HSE responsibility, you will also work closely with HR and contribute to HR matters within the organization. As HSE Manager, you have the opportunity to influence and develop our working methods, with short decision-making paths and close collaboration with the operations. You are part of VINAB’s management team and help drive the company’s development forward.

Main responsibilities

  • Actively support the organization’s managers and employees with HSE-related questions.
  • Ensure that the organization works according to current routines, laws, and requirements. Monitor and inform about changes, as well as interpret laws and regulations within the HSE area.
  • Drive and support the operations in working with occupational health and safety plans, risk assessments, and internal instructions, as well as in investigations of accidents, near-misses, and risk observations.
  • Drive improvement work and customer follow-ups together with relevant employees.
  • Handle administration within the HSE area, update and maintain templates, support documents, and internal guidelines.
  • Develop HSE training.
  • Be out in the field together with our employees.
  • Contribute to HR work.

We are looking for someone who

  • Has relevant post-secondary education in HSE.
  • Has education and/or deep knowledge of legislation regarding quality, environment, and occupational health and safety, as well as ISO certification.
  • Has at least three years of experience in a similar position. Experience from the industry and its agreements is meritorious.
  • Experience combining HSE with HR matters is meritorious.
  • Has good knowledge of quality, environment, occupational health and safety, health, improvement, and safety work.
  • Has good skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written. Proficiency in Russian or Finnish is considered meritorious.
  • Has a valid driver’s license (Category B).
  • Has good computer skills (Office package). Knowledge of the IA-system is considered meritorious.

The role involves a varied daily routine where you switch between HSE work and HR-related questions. You thrive in a role where no day is the same and where you need to prioritize and adapt based on the operations' needs.
