What the role entails

As an Embedded Developer at Combitech, you develop and deliver software together with our world-leading customers, either at the customer's site or in our in-house operations.

Our customers are primarily within defense and the defense industry, which means you will work in long-term, stable, and technically advanced assignments. The projects span the entire development cycle, giving you the opportunity to work with everything from design and development to implementation and the creation of new features.

In your role, you collaborate closely with other developers, requirement setters, and testers. Whether you work at the customer's site or in our in-house operations, you will encounter an agile culture where you can be creative and contribute to high-tech solutions with significant impact.

We believe in the strength of sharing knowledge. Therefore, you will have the opportunity to discuss complex solutions with colleagues with different experiences, both locally and together with other Combitech colleagues around the country.

Since the position involves work covered by defense secrecy, you must undergo and pass a security clearance with register check.

What we are looking for

As a person, we believe you have a genuine interest in software development and enjoy working with technical challenges. You have the ability to adapt to the customer's requirements and needs while being driven to develop your knowledge in new tools, technologies, and languages.

We also see that you have an understanding of the entire development process and are happy to contribute your knowledge to colleagues and the team around you. Since the role involves many contact surfaces, you need to be comfortable with both Swedish and English in speech and writing.

We are looking for someone who has an academic degree in, for example, computer science or another relevant field.

You have at least 3-4 years of documented programming experience and feel confident in several areas, such as C/C++, Python, open source solutions, Linux and Embedded Linux, as well as Zephyr. You also have experience with wireless communication, Azure IoT, and wired communication, such as SPI, I2C, and CAN.
