Workplace Description
The University Library is looking for a System Administrator. The position is attached to the IT Department, one of the University Library's seven departments. The IT Department is an agile and learning unit responsible for the development and operation of library-related systems at Lund University. The department has nine employees and works in close collaboration with operations and users. Our systems and services are either self-developed or based on open source. The department's mandate includes both system development and operations, i.e., support and administration of systems, applications, and infrastructure. One of our largest and most used systems is the library system Koha, which manages the library's collections, users, and loan transactions.
The position is a fixed-term appointment at 80% for 8 months. Currently, several of the department's employees are engaged in a cross-departmental eight-month-long project, and we are therefore looking for an employee who can participate in the ongoing work of administering Koha during that period.

Tasks and Responsibilities
You will work with the administration of the library system Koha, in collaboration with the system librarian and system developer. A large part of the work is to provide support and assistance to colleagues who work in Koha, at the University Library and other libraries at Lund University, and to staff the UB's case management system regarding Koha cases.
You will actively participate in the IT Department's agile processes.
Shifts at one of the library's information points may be included, as well as other tasks that occur within the department.
Qualifications
As a person, you are meticulous and interested in getting to know both technical solutions and workflows. You are proactive, curious, and enjoy developing your competence. You actively share experiences and knowledge.
You appreciate providing system support to colleagues and library users.
You have good collaboration skills and a willingness to participate in the IT team's processes.
Requirements for the position are:
- Experience working in a library
- Experience working in a library system
- Experience with support and/or user assistance
- Very good ability to communicate orally and in writing in Swedish and English
- Very good collaboration skills
Merits for the position are:
- Experience working in the library system Koha
- Experience with or knowledge of various operational processes
- Interest in sharing experiences and learnings
- Interest in agile methods
Other Information
The position is a fixed-term appointment at 80% for eight months. Start date by agreement, preferably as soon as possible.
The scope and duration of the position can be adjusted based on requests or operational needs, for example through a higher degree of employment.
Interviews are planned to be held in week 34.
