RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for a special education teacher in mathematics or alternatively a teacher with qualifications for grades 1-6 who can strengthen our team; this position is a temporary substitute role.

Racklöfska School is located in the center of Järpen in Åre Municipality, Jämtland County. Approximately 150 students attend the school, from preschool class to grade 6. The school is directly adjacent to beautiful cross-country ski tracks, an ice rink, a swimming hall, and a sports hall. The municipal library is within walking distance from the school. The school's location is ideal for school activities with proximity to sports, nature, and culture. The schoolyard offers great opportunities for activities, including street basketball, climbing frames, swings, a small forest area, a sports arena with artificial turf, a sledding hill, a barbecue area, and a large football field. The school is directly adjacent to "Verket" - an activity area with, among other things, a bike and skate park. Several of the outdoor days are spent on our nearby mountains.

The school is organized into three work teams: Pre-3, 4-6, and after-school care. At Racklöfska School, we work to ensure that everyone feels well, both students and staff. In your role as a special education teacher in mathematics, you will work with the work team to improve the quality of pedagogical work and participate in development work together with other teachers. The role includes overall responsibility for the students' social and academic development. You are responsible for systematically documenting, analyzing, evaluating, and following up on student learning. Proficiency in the craft and broad leadership & stimulation skills will be meritorious.

In your role as a special education teacher in mathematics, you work in all our classes based on need. You co-teach or work with individual interventions, all based on the children's and the operation's needs. You also work with investigations and mappings based on need.

QUALIFICATIONS

• We are looking for you who are a qualified special education teacher in mathematics or who have qualifications in mathematics for grades 1-6.
• You have a good ability to work both individually and in interaction with students, guardians, colleagues, and school leadership.
• We assume you have a very good ability to work both goal-oriented and solution-focused based on current regulatory documents, and that the child's best interest is always in your focus.

As a person, you find it easy to collaborate, feel safe and secure even in challenging situations, and can easily adapt to different types of tasks and situations. You often find win-win solutions through an unpretentious focus on the common goal. You find it easy to communicate clearly and can easily distinguish between facts and personality. We work with clarifying pedagogy, the nine pedagogical questions, and several common lesson structures at the school to benefit the students.
