About the role

Södra is one of Sweden's largest forest industry conglomerates, where we, together with our members, develop sustainable forestry. Our nurseries contribute to the forests of the future by producing high-quality seedlings with a strong focus on development, efficiency, and safety.

We are now looking for a mechanic for our nursery in Falkenberg who wants to contribute to stable operations and continued development of the business.

What you will work with at Södra

In the role of mechanic, you will have the opportunity to work both operationally and coordinatively with the maintenance of machinery and equipment in the nursery's operations.

For example, you will work with:

  • Preventive and corrective maintenance

  • Planning and coordination of ongoing maintenance efforts

  • Monitoring downtime and improvement work

  • Purchasing and ordering of spare parts and external resources

  • Tuning speeds and changeover times for optimal production

  • Collaboration with production managers and shift leaders in daily work

  • Participation in improvement work and technical projects

  • Introduction of new staff and support in production as needed

The position is a permanent full-time role, located in Falkenberg.

We also look for you to have experience with:

  • Mechanical work from industry or similar environments

  • Maintenance in production operations

  • Planning or coordination of tasks

Requirements for the position:

  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English

  • Category B driver's license

  • Upper secondary education
