Your responsibilities

You will primarily work with operation, supervision, and maintenance tasks at our largest wastewater treatment plant in Halmstad Municipality. The work involves monitoring, optimizing, and developing the treatment processes. You will work according to a set self-control program, both independently and in a team.

Your main responsibilities include:

• Controlling, monitoring, and optimizing operations
• Cleaning of analytical instruments
• Sampling
• Continuous contact with contractors and suppliers
• Preventive maintenance work
• Repairs and troubleshooting
• Ensuring that resources and parts needed for actions are ordered
• Together with other operational staff, you work to ensure that daily operations are managed according to current laws and regulations

The assignment includes on-call duty according to a schedule.

Your qualifications

To thrive as an operations technician, you should be able to work flexibly and adapt to unforeseen events in operations. You manage to maintain focus in unexpected stressful situations by working and acting in a systematic, methodical, and reliable manner. Being engaged and able to take initiative is important. Since the work is also of a practical nature, you must enjoy working with your hands. You have the ability to work independently, but also find it easy to collaborate and share your knowledge. As a person, you are engaged and contribute to creating a good work climate.

It is an advantage if you have:

• technical education or experience that the employer assesses as equivalent
• education focused on operations/process, control and regulation technology, or equivalent
• experience from operations of water and wastewater plants or process industry
• knowledge in computer-controlled automation, electronics, control technology, chemistry, and biology

Since our facilities are geographically widespread in both Halmstad and Laholm municipalities, you need to have a driver's license, be flexible, and willing to help where needed. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities.

Requirement that you master the Swedish language unimpeded in both speech and writing.
