At Derome, we are investing long-term in innovation, sustainability, and modern production. With our new saw line, we have created one of the world's most modern facilities for wood processing, where a high degree of automation, AI technology, and smart control systems play a central role. We are now looking for an Industrial Electrician who wants to help ensure the operation of our business.

Responsibilities

As an Industrial Electrician, you will work with maintenance, troubleshooting, and service throughout our entire production facility – from timber intake to further processing.

• Troubleshoot and resolve operational disruptions within electricity, automation, and control systems.
• Carry out installations, repairs, and improvement works in our electrical systems.
• Work with PLC systems, control systems, and variable speed drives.
• Contribute to the development and optimization of our technical solutions and production processes.
• Collaborate closely with production staff and other functions to ensure stable and efficient operation.

No day is the same, and you will play a key role in contributing to safe and stable production. You will become part of an experienced team of six electricians, while having significant individual responsibility in your daily work.

Who are you?

We believe you have an electrical engineering education with a focus on power systems, automation, or equivalent knowledge.

You preferably have experience with control systems, PLCs, and variable speed drives. Having worked as an industrial electrician or automation electrician in process or manufacturing industry is an advantage, but what is most important to us is your interest in technology and your willingness to develop.

As a person, you are curious, solution-oriented, and enjoy tackling technical challenges. You work independently when needed, but also appreciate the value of good collaboration. Since the role involves many contact points, you thrive in helping others and contributing to a positive work environment.

Other Information

We are currently working in shifts on a three-week cycle (Afternoon - Morning incl. weekend - Free week), but this may vary depending on operational needs.

About Us

Derome makes more of the forest. We harvest trees in our local area and process them in our own sawmills. About half of the timber is exported, and the remainder is sold in our own building supply stores, as well as to our industry colleagues. Within our Timber organization, you will be part of a team of wood product specialists who are passionate about close and long-term customer relationships.
