Your Role

Do you want to inspire children and young people to discover and develop their musical talents? Do you have the flute as your main instrument and wish to become part of a creative and dedicated cultural school? Do you have competence and/or experience in other cultural school subjects? Then you might be the one we are looking for.

The position also involves participating in, leading, and developing ensemble and orchestra activities, as well as collaborating with colleagues regarding concerts, performances, projects, and other joint activities.

Collaboration with other activities and schools in the municipality is common.

Teaching takes place individually and in groups. You plan, inspire, engage, and challenge students based on their different prerequisites and goals. The work is carried out during daytime and some evenings. Weekend work may occur.

Description of the Workplace

The Cultural School in Söderhamn is a creative meeting place where children and young people have the opportunity to develop their artistic expressions during their leisure time. We work to create an accessible, inspiring, and meaningful activity for the municipality's children and youth.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is engaged, creative, responsive, flexible, and responsible. You must be able to teach both individually and in groups. You should have relevant higher education in music, pedagogical education, or other education/experience that the employer deems equivalent.

Additional Qualifications

Experience in teaching or other pedagogical work with children and young people is meritorious. Competence in several cultural school subjects is also meritorious. Experience in ensemble or orchestra teaching is a plus.

We would appreciate it if you have good knowledge of Swedish.

A valid B-class driver's license is required for the position.
