Main Responsibilities

We are now looking for you who want to be part of a successful operation. As a store employee in the delicatessen department at Hemköp Jönköping Strandängen, you will take significant personal responsibility to ensure our customers can easily find what they are looking for. You will ensure that our shelves are well-stocked and that our store is clean and tidy. Together with your colleagues, you will focus on positive customer interaction, sales, and maintaining the highest quality.

In your role as a delicatessen store employee, you handle charcuterie and ready-to-eat meals with an understanding of HACCP as well as Axfood's guidelines for hygiene, health, and food safety. With your burning interest in food, especially delicatessen products, you will become an important part of the chain towards an inspiring shopping experience. The position is a summer cover for 20 hours per week until 2026-08-16, with start date by agreement. Working hours are scheduled during daytime, evenings, and weekends.

What We Expect

Liking to work with customers and sales is a prerequisite for the role of delicatessen store employee. You inspire and contribute with your creativity and knowledge when serving customers according to their needs at our delicatessen counter. We would like you to have previous experience in delicatessen and ready-made products.

To thrive with us, you should be easy to work with in a team, be meticulous, structured, and quality-conscious. Additionally, you enjoy a fast pace and are accustomed to working under time pressure. Together with your colleagues, you will manage daily operations, which means you are service- and sales-oriented, but also happy to work across departmental boundaries in the store.

We preferably see that you have experience working as a cold meat counter assistant. With reference to the Working Environment Act (Chapter 5) and the Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulations AFS 2023:2 Chapter 8 and Appendix 2, we do not employ persons under 18 years of age due to the nature of the tasks.
