School Librarian – Help Build the Future School Library at Bergsjö School

At Bergsjö School, we work to ensure every student succeeds – not by chance, but through clear leadership, strong relationships, and a shared drive to develop our teaching. We are now looking for a dedicated school librarian who wants to help shape the future school library together with us.

About the Role

You will establish, manage, and develop the school library activities in our school in accordance with guidelines and legislation. You will become an important employee in the school's work on reading, information seeking, and digital competence. You will work closely with students and, together with teachers, contribute to creating a love for reading and interest in literature. You are someone who enjoys meeting children and young people, inspiring reading, and creating engagement around literature and knowledge. You will plan and carry out activities that strengthen the library's role in students' learning.

We are looking for you who:

• Have a degree in Library and Information Science.
• Have a strong interest in young people, their living environments, and the culture they participate in.
• Have good collaboration skills and a professional approach.
• Have the ability to work independently, take initiative, and drive development work.
• Have a great interest in promoting reading, literature, and knowledge organization.
• Enjoy building relationships, creating collaboration, and developing activities together with others.

About Bergsjö School

We are an F–9 school in the heart of Nordanstig, with approximately 450 students. Our operations also include Adapted Primary School grades 1–10. Here, you will meet high commitment among staff and a clear ambition to make a difference – every day.

Nordanstig Municipality consists of several schools with a total of approximately 900 students. Together, we work for higher goal fulfillment and a more equitable school system. The Swedish Schools Inspectorate, SPSM, Mid Sweden University, and RUC-X are some of the partners we collaborate with to achieve this.
