This autumn, Furuvik opens its gates for an unforgettable Halloween. As a performer at Furuvik Park, you will work together with other performers to offer magical experiences by entertaining our guests throughout the park. Do you want to be part of the funniest event of the season and offer our guests world-class experiences? Then we are eagerly waiting to meet you!
Working as a Horror Coach
As a Horror Coach during Halloween at Furuvik, you are an inspiring and supportive leader for our show artists. Your task is to help them develop their characters, strengthen their stage presence, and create experiences that guests will remember for a long time.
The role comes in two variants – one for our family-friendly daytime show and one for Horror Night. As a Horror Coach, you work either with the daytime production or the evening production and coach the artists involved in that specific experience.
You lead daily warm-ups for body, voice, and character, and move around in our experiences to view them from the guests' perspective. Through coaching, feedback, and creative guidance, you help the artists develop during operations – always with respect for their own expression and without disturbing the guest experience.
Aside from coaching, you are a positive force in the group and contribute to creating a safe, inspiring, and creative work environment where our artists have the best conditions for success.
Working as a Performer
As a performer during Halloween, you work in one of our scare houses, for example as a zombie or creature. Your task is to scare and entertain our guests to maximize their experience. The roles vary, but most characters primarily focus on scaring. There are a few more advanced roles, both scary and less scary.
Requirements
For these roles, we are looking for you who love theater, improvisation, or simply being scared. You also need to:
- Be able to work in dark and confined spaces with loud noises
- Be able to take direction
- Be able to read people and adapt your behavior accordingly
For these positions, you must be able to communicate in Swedish. Education and/or professional experience in theater or equivalent is meritorious but not a requirement. Regardless of which performer role you have, you will work according to specified guidelines and conditions within the area you work in.
Our Performer Roles
We divide our performer roles into two categories: Performer Role and Advanced Performer Role.
Performer Role
This category includes most of our roles, and there are roles for both those with theater experience and those without. These roles involve creating spine-tingling and scary experiences for all our guests through your actions. Simple improvisation is warmly welcome! You need to be able to adapt your behavior based on the guests in front of you, young and old. For these roles, we are simply looking for you who really enjoy acting and moving around! Perhaps you are the imprisoned guest in Captain's Manor or a zombie passenger on the Zombie Express.
Advanced Performer Role
This category includes both roles with finished monologues and roles with more improvisation. For these roles, we are looking for you who have theater experience or similar. The goal is, of course, also here to entertain and/or scare our guests. In the roles, you start from a character description with certain guidelines, but are also expected to be able to act and improvise within the framework of the character. Some of the advanced roles are entirely based on improvisation and require more from you as a performer. You need to be able to take direction and, within the framework, add your personal touch to the role. Our advanced roles are voice-intensive and suit you who have experience with voice exercises. Responsibility supplements are added to the base salary within this category of roles. If you choose to apply for an advanced role, the first step in the recruitment process will be a video audition.
More Information About the Position
We are looking for you who can work on October 8, October 10–11, October 17–18, October 23–25, and October 28–31. It is important that you can be present for most of these days and also participate in training sessions related to the employment.
Upon starting employment, you will receive thorough training in the area you will work in. There, you will learn to work in your character in a safe and secure manner based on the correct guidelines and conditions. Salary is applied according to collective agreements. Some roles have responsibility supplements depending on the complexity of the role. We do not offer staff housing.
As an employee at Furuvik Park, you will have the opportunity to create lifelong memories. It is a fun and challenging work environment with the opportunity to meet new friends.
The selection process is ongoing, so send in your application today! We only accept applications via our website.
We look forward to receiving your application!
