Do you want to develop products for innovative and sustainable construction? We are now looking for a curious and driven Product Developer for our production site in Öjebyn, Piteå. This role is a key part of our continued development of both products and processes, where you will play a central role in shaping the future growth of Lindab Byggpartner.

About the role

As a Product Developer, you will hold a central position in the business, further developing our products to meet the demands and requirements of the construction market. You will combine technical development with a practical understanding of manufacturing and final assembly, collaborating closely with product management, production, sales, and customers.

At Lindab Byggpartner, we own the entire chain, from idea and development to manufacturing and sales, giving you great opportunities to influence and create value throughout the process. You will work through the entire product lifecycle, focusing on improving and refining existing solutions through testing and analysis.

Your main responsibilities include:

• Develop new and improve existing products and product systems within the areas of sandwich panels and high-profiled sheet metal.
• Design and dimension products to ensure they meet building regulations and certifications.
• Develop product standards, manufacturing drawings, and instructions for product manufacturing control.
• Plan, prepare, and conduct load and fire tests.
• Create technical instructions and tools for the design, construction, and assembly of products and product systems.
• Project management in cross-functional project teams.
• Creation and testing of prototypes, both digitally and practically.
• Train and support the organization to increase technical understanding of our products and systems.

You report to the Product Manager at Lindab Byggpartner and are based at our production site in Öjebyn, Piteå.

About you

We are looking for you with a Master of Science degree in Building Construction or Mechanical Engineering, and experience in construction design and/or product development within the manufacturing industry. Good knowledge of building technology and materials science is a prerequisite.

You work partly in AutoCAD and Revit, and experience with FEM simulations is an advantage. Within the group, Inventor Nastran is used. To succeed in the role, you need good skills in both Swedish and English, both spoken and written. We are looking for someone who is technically curious and driven by improving and developing products in practice.
