Do you want to work for the Sami community on issues related to Sami culture? Apply for the position of Culture Officer and become part of our dedicated and competent team. The Sami Parliament is the administrative authority for Sami culture. We strive to promote a living Sami culture, initiate activities, and propose measures that support this culture.
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include processing cultural grants, compiling statistics (e.g., for annual reports), and conducting financial follow-ups. You will investigate and prepare cases within the cultural sector, respond to official inquiries, and provide support to the Sami Parliament's culture politicians. Additionally, you will collaborate with various cultural actors and authorities. Other duties may arise. Travel is included in the role.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have a university or college degree in culture or another area deemed relevant by the employer, or equivalent work experience. You should have good knowledge of Sami culture and cultural life. You must be able to communicate well, both orally and in writing. Knowledge of the Sami language is an advantage. Previous experience in case and grant management, as well as financial follow-ups, is also desirable. Basic economic knowledge and experience in public administration and politically directed operations are preferred.

You are self-reliant and solution-oriented. You plan, organize, and carry out your work in a structured and efficient manner. It is important that you are flexible and have good teamwork skills, as we work with varied assignments and different partners.
Employment type
Full-time. Permanent employment. Start date: 2026-09-21 or as agreed.
